Zara, or shall I say Erdem?

This Spring/ Summer 2011 my favorite collection was by Jil Sander which displayed the color blocking trend and of course Erdem which displayed the floral, lace, and white trend. I have already given a slight attempt to them in my previous posts (here and here), I am in love with them, and my favorite high-street store; Zara, is working both of them!

Today, I went to Zara and brought an orange top, floral skirt, and a small bag. My favorite was the skirt, which is so similar to the Erdem skirt above!

WISH LIST: Cambridge Satchel!

A few weeks ago I spotted this bag on Carolina Engman from the FashionSquad, and then it seems to have gone viral and I also spotted it on Doina Ciobanu from The Golden Diamonds I must admit, it was love at first sight! I adore it and can't wait to get my hands on this for Summer! Though, I am still not sure which color; yellow or green?

Sauce - Women for Women!

I am a huge fan of Sauce events, and since this is for a good cause - I am definitely not going to miss it! If you live in Dubai please do pop-in and purchase a T-shirt before they sell out. My favorite is by Gucci and Alberta Ferretti. What about you?

Gucci Artisan Corner Event!

On Wednesday, I attended the 'Gucci Artisan Corner Event' - which was absolutely fantastic! They were making the bags live in-store, all the bags looked amazing and were being made to the highest quality.

I love shoes, they can instantly change everything from your outfit to confidence, and each of them are unique. The pair above are one of my absolute favorites for this season. What about you, do you have any favorites?

BENEFIT ties up exclusively with REINA event!

To be honest, when I found out that Benefit was combining with Reina I was over joyed. I absolutely love Benefit's cosmetics and I can personally recommend 'Coralisla' blush! They have perhaps the best blush in the world, I wear it every day!

Unfortunately, this only applies to UAE residences, all you have to do is spend 400AED at selected Benefit counters - not too hard, is it? And you will receive a sundress or T-shirt worth 200AED from Reina's summer collection! Now, the only problem is which to choose the sundress or the T-shirt?

Stores
Faces, MOE: 29th - 31st
Faces, Dubai Mall: 27th  - 28th
Faces, Khalidiya: 28th - 29th

Obviously, thats's not all - all readers of Because It's Fashion are invited to come and join us at a fun summer event on Tuesday 31st May at Faces MOE, 5pm to 7pm. So clear your schedule and get ready for entertaining night.

An Abaya with a Twist!

I have to admit I am not fan of traditional abaya's, although the uniqueness in Abaya Couture by Emairati designer Badr Al Budoor  caught my eye. Her collection takes the tradition Abaya with respect and adds elements of creative innovation without compromising basic ideals.

The collection is best described as minimalist, eccentric and elegant. For more information, click here.

Meeting HENRY HOLLAND at Sauce!

Last thursday, I also went to Sauce, although I was very tired from the previous event I was not going to give up the chance to meet Henry Holland and browse through his A/W 11 collection - which may I say was fantastic. The whole event was amazing, I personally love Sauce, the atmosphere, the smell, the people, the food - it was truly magical.

And of course I couldn't resist taking the pictures of the best dressed. Below, Diya Ajit works nerd chic, flawlessly.

As usual I bumped into many bloggers including Lisa, Mahryska, Saanieh and Alizey. Each of them looked fabulous, I loved Lisa's Mulberry, Mahryska's jeans, Saanieh's suspender tights and Alizey's Furla bag!

Overall, meeting Henry Holland was amazing he is even more better in person, I adore his fashion sense and I am sure his blazer was the center of attention in the whole room. I had a short conversation with him and he was extremely sweet, and even complimented my bag, it was an absolutely perfect day.
